Margaret A. Young

A lifelong area resident she was born Oct. 6, 1928 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Duane and Mary Morris Kennedy.

Marge was a 1945 graduate of Falconer High School. She was employed by Fancher Chair for 35 years retiring in 1993.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, golfing, sewing, flowers, gardening, playing cards and cooking. Marge was a former member of the Falconer Senior Citizens. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Marge is survived by her three children: Clover Reeves of Marina, CA, Terry (Patricia) Young of Stafford, NY, Morgan (Michelle) Young of Jamestown; nine grandchildren: Ginger Reeves of California, Marsha (Joe) Torralba of Marina, CA, Steven (Kim) Reeves of Dayton, NV, Mary Reeves Long of Henderson, NV, Donald (Brianne) Young of Fairport, NY, Philip (Jamie) Young of Stafford, NY, Brian (Lisa) Young of Churchville, NY, Andrea (Dan) Shanafelt of Red Hill, PA and Weston Young of Jersey City, NJ; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald O. Young whom she married Dec. 12, 1947, who died May 16, 2005; three brothers: Richard, Daniel, and Robert Kennedy; three sisters: Genevieve Cox, Dolores Marsh, and Beatrice Parsons.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday May 20, 2025 in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Lemon chaplain of Heritage Green will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
