Leda M. Domenici

Leda M. Domenici

Leda Magi Domenici, 96, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on May 7, 2025. Born on April 4, 1929, in Limano, Italy, Leda was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was defined by her love of family, her Italian heritage, and her remarkable culinary talents.

Leda immigrated to the United States joining her husband Fulvio in 1949. She lived in Jamestown, New York for 36 years during which time she worked for many years at National Worsted Mill, Jamesway, and Maddox Furniture. In 1985, they moved to Florida, first in Casselberry, then Winter Springs where she resided until she passed away peacefully at home with her family at her bedside.

Leda is survived by her devoted daughters, Lorena Spoto (James) of Naples, Florida, and Annette Carlson (Brad) of Winter Springs, Florida. She was the proud grandmother of Jim Spoto (Judy), Renee Arnold (Ron), Jonathan Spoto, and Matthew Carlson (Sierra), and cherished her great-grandchildren, Sofia Arnold, Kayla Arnold, and Logan Carlson.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fulvio Domenici, with whom she shared 49 wonderful years of marriage.

Leda’s life was a testament to joy and resilience. She found happiness in the simple pleasures — from her frequent travels back to Italy, where she stayed connected to her roots, to her love for taking cruises, reading, and playing bingo with friends. But her true passion was found in her garden with her flowers and herbal plants and in her kitchen, where she was known for her extraordinary cooking. Every Christmas, she lovingly prepared hundreds of homemade ravioli for her family, a cherished tradition that will be fondly remembered.

Leda’s legacy is one of love, family, and the comforting warmth of a well-cooked meal. Her family will carry forward her traditions and memories with love.

The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation from 9:30-10:30 am on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Lind Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Reverend Don Watkins will be Celebrant. She will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery alongside her beloved husband.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to honor Leda consider sending a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
