Rocky Bland
Rocky Jay Bland, beloved infant son of Jackilyn and Reid Bland, was born on April 23, 2025 in Saint Vincent Hospital and passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025 in the arms of his loving family.
Though his time with us was brief, Rocky’s strength, courage, and unbreakable spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him. Born at just 27 weeks, he faced each day with a fighter’s heart, enduring challenges with a resilience that inspired everyone around him.
He brought light and love into the world, teaching lessons of grace, hope, and the deep power of love. Rocky was a cherished soul whose presence will forever be felt in the hearts of his family.
He is survived by his parents, grandparents: Amalia and Danilo Bilog, Randall Bland, Katrina (TJ) Baldwin; aunts: Jam (Jose) Bilog-Martin, Adrienne (Mike) Candiotti; and cousin Teagan Candiotti; who will carry his memory with them always.
A service to cherish Rocky’s heavenly presence will be held at Lind Funeral Home on May 10 at 11am. Deacon Dan Tyler will preside and burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made in Rocky’s honor to Grady’s Decision, Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo, or Oishei’s Children’s Hospital.
Rocky’s name means strength, and that’s exactly how he lived–fierce, loved, and never forgotten.
