Ian Mark Anderson, 49, of Lakewood, N.Y., passed away following a hard-fought illness on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at ECMC Hospital.
He was born in Jamestown, N.Y. on February 28, 1976, to Lillian Eckstrom Anderson and the late Truman L. Anderson.
A genuinely caring soul, Ian helped others at the drop of a hat. He went out of his way to assist strangers in need, let alone assisting his mother often.
NASCAR was Ian’s favorite; moreover, he enjoyed time at Stateline Speedway.
Ian is survived by his mother, Lillian Anderson; his sister, Megan Rae Anderson; his son, Brian Truman Anderson; as well as his close friend, Tina Cornell.
Ian was preceded in death by his father, Truman L. Anderson, who passed away April 16, 2011.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wellman Road Cemetery.
