George E. McKinney Jr.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of George Edward McKinney Jr, 67, of Jamestown, NY. He died on April 28, 2025. He was born in Lakawanna, NY to the late George and Maryann McKinney. For many years George loved everything cars and was a mechanic, he also received his license as a tow recovery driver and performed NYS inspections on vehicles.

He resided at The Hotel Jamestown where he was a maintenance worker and just an overall big presence, and very social. You could catch him outside enjoying time with other residents. He loved playing pool, bowling, and throwing darts, but most of all he was a huge Bills fan.

George is survived by his three daughters, Amber (Dustin) Miller, April Klice, and Rachel (Chris) Kruse; his grandchildren Payton (Hayli) Miller, Jonthan Miller, Lauren Raymond, Steven Raymond Jr., Halie Klice, Donavin Carraher, Cameron Carraher, Brennen Carraher, Kylie Carraher; his siblings Brenda, Diana, Linda, Bruce, Teresa, Mary, and Terry McKinney, and four great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital in George’s name.

Per George’s wishes no services will be observed at this time, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
