Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Hinderleider

Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Hinderleider
Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Hinderleider, 67, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 24, 2025, after living with cancer for eight years – years filled with love, courage, and the joy of watching her family grow. One of her greatest blessings during that time was watching all five of her grandsons be born, each a gift she treasured.
Liz was born in Lubbock, TX on January 2, 1958, to the late Thomas and Beverley (Montague) Crouch. After graduating as salutatorian from Wheatland High School in California, she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, magna cum laude, from Michigan Technical University.
Liz’s astute acumen progressed as a claim adjustor with the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board for many years. However, Liz’s utmost commitment resided with her family. It brought her heart overflowing joy when the generations were gathered around a dinner table or when they adventured together. Along with her husband, Mark, Liz built a tight-knit home of boys who grew into men; further, those men pursued their individual homes of boys, to which Liz beamed.
Liz’s kind heart adored watching her children and grandchildren play, whether it was at home or through organized sports. She remained supportive of the CCYHA hockey program, in which her sons and grandsons flourished. Also, Liz was a devout Buffalo fan, cheering on the Bills and the Sabres.
In quieter moments, she enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. Recent years allowed for lively curling nights at the ice rink with her in-laws. Certainly, Liz adored her community and upheld persistent engagement.
Liz’s legacy lives on in those who loved her most: her husband, Mark; her sons, Craig (Nicole) Hinderleider, Kent (Sarah) Hinderleider, and Neil Hinderleider, all of the Jamestown area; and her five grandsons, Braxton, Calvin, Wesley, Bodie, and Maxwell. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas (Teresa) Crouch of Fountain Hills, AZ; four nieces and nephews; as well as four cousins.
Besides her parents, Liz was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Arena Club within Northwest Arena.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jamestown Boys & Girls Club, 62 Allen Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
