Carrol L. Roth Shepard
Carrol L. Roth Shepard, 87, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, May 25, 2025. She was born in Wales, NY on Feb. 23, 1938, to the late Leonard and Dorothy Colby Roth.
A family woman, Carrol remained dedicated to her family all her years. She was a bus driver for Jamestown Public Schools while also dabbling in various restaurants and bars as a waitress.

In earlier years, Carrol volunteered at WCA Hospital. She was a loyal member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Albeit a woman who needed to have control, Carrol kept a beautiful, large family in order.
She will be missed by her daughters, Linda Wood of Enid, OK, Connie Lipka of Springville, NY, Diane Gilbert of Warren, PA, Laurie McCullan of Michigan, and Judy Anelli of Ohio; her sons, Donald Moore, Jr. of Lakewood, NY, and Raymond (Jill) Moore of Jamestown, NY; her grandchildren, Matthew Thompson, Terri Thompson, Kevin Wood, Sean Wood, Dawn Lipka, Amy Lipka, Christopher Lipka, Nicole Gilbert, Sandra Gilbert, Jillian Gilbert, Kevin Schweickler, Chavon Schweickler, Sandra Schwieckler, Melissa Anelli, Heather Anelli, Jeremy Anelli, Zachary Moore, Jarod Moore, Jaycee Moore, Jon Jones, and Jessica Pangborn; her brother, Nelson Roth; her sisters, Doris Grice, Alice Kliver, and Elsie Lomison; her step-sister, Hannah Thompson; and her step-brothers, Fred Thompson and Preston Thompson.
Besides her parents, Carrol was preceded in death by her husband, David C. “Doc” Shepard, who passed away May 28, 2018; her infant son, Ronny Provorse; and by her sisters, Annabelle Roth, Arlene Ellis, Martha Roth, and Ruby Crawford.
The funeral service for Carrol will be at 1pm Friday, May 30, 2025, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation for two hours prior to the service from 11 am-1 pm Friday at church. Burial will be in Fluvanna Cemetery.
