Carole E. Holthouse

She was born on March 13, 1937, in Stamford, NY, a daughter of the late Albert and Hazel (Swanson) Seastrom.

Carole was raised and educated in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1955. After high school, she attended WCA School of Nursing and obtained her associate’s degree and became a registered nurse in September of 1958. She was a nurse for the doctor’s office in Clymer, the Corry Manor for 15 years and then the Chautauqua County Jail until she retired in 2009.

She was a member of the Abbe Reformed Church in Clymer. She enjoyed swimming, walking, knitting and taking bus trips.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Ralph Holthouse, whom she married on Nov. 4, 1961, in Jamestown, NY.

Carole is survived by two sons, Mark (Valerie) Holthouse, and Brian (Hilary) Holthouse both of Clymer, NY; seven grandchildren, Cole (Ashley) Holthouse, Cody, Denton, Dalton, and Logan Holthouse, and Emily and Ryan Francis; and several nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, April 17 at Holland Cemetery, County Touring Route 15, Clymer, NY 14724 at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abbe Reformed Church, 595 Clymer Sherman Road, Clymer, NY 14724.
