Edward Lennon
Edward (Eamon) Lennon was born Aug. 3, 1953, in County Kilkenny Ireland, to John and Josephine Lennon. Edward emigrated to America with his family in 1964 and lived in Brentwood, Long Island. He graduated from Brentwood High School in 1964. After serving in the United States Army, Edward worked as a laborer. He worked for Shamrock Maintenance Services with his brother John, and also later painted houses (inside and out ) and installed wall board and wall paper.
He moved to the Albany NY area about 25 years ago. Edward resided at St. Joseph’s house where he made many new friends. He had a lifelong interest in cars. Despite suffering with poor health for many years, he had a lighthearted demeanor and was generous to anyone in need. His love of all things Irish and his Irish humor will be long remembered.
Edward is survived by his son, Jessie Lennon of Long Island and his brothers, Michael, John and Patrick Lennon their families. He is also survived by his sisters, Maisie Pietrocola, Josie (Eddie) Griffiths, Bernadette (Michael) McCutcheon and their families.
Edward was predeceased by his parents, as well as his brother Thomas Lennon, and sisters Margaret Jennings, and Bridget Roche.
Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 pm Saturday March 8, at St. James Roman Catholic Church. The Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Donald Watkins.
Burial will be immediately following the service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
