Carol E. Dominey
Carol E. Dominey, 96, formerly of Morley Road, Stow, NY, passed away on March 5, 2025. She was born in Westfield, NY on November 1, 1928, the daughter of the late Raymond and Martha Vergith Davenport.
Carol lived in Ashville, NY and attended Ashville Elementary School. She graduated from Lakewood High School and the Warren, PA Conservatory of Music.
She was employed as a Postal Clerk at Ashville, Mayville, and Stow Post Offices.
Carol was a member of the Ashville United Methodist Church, serving as financial secretary and as the secretary of the United Methodist Women’s group.
When she and her husband moved to Heritage Ministries, they joined the Gerry United Methodist Church.
Carol enjoyed embroidering, reading, and flower gardening.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Gordon S. Dominey, who died November 11, 2014; her parents, Raymond and Martha Davenport; her sister, Marilyn Matson; and her nephew, Stephen Matson.
She is survived by a stepson, Roger; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Carol’s wishes, no service will be observed. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
