Sandra “Sandy” Marylin Paddleford

Sandra “Sandy” Marylin Paddleford, 79, of Sherman, New York, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024 at Absolut Care of Westfield, where she had resided for the past eight years.

Born on July 1,1945 in Silver Creek, New York to Mildred G. Wassink and Edgar P. Smith,

Sandy lived a life full of kindness, dedication, and service. She was a devoted lifetime member of the Stanley Hose Fire Auxiliary, a proud lifelong member of the Girl Scouts, a member of Chautauqua County Home Bureau and TOPS embodying a spirit of community and generosity throughout her life. Sandy found joy in crafting, reading, and giving back through community service. Her creativity, love of learning, and selflessness were evident in everything she did, leaving an indelible mark on those around her.

She is survived by her children, Tracy (John) Beach, Lori (Steve) Davis, Frank Paddleford and Jesse (Leia) Paddleford, and brothers David (Kim) Wassink and Jeffrey (Linda) Wassink, who will forever cherish her love, wisdom, and unwavering support. Sandy was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Paddleford.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined to honor and celebrate Sandy’s incredible life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stanley Hose Fire Auxiliary.

Her legacy of love, service, and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
