Connie R. McKoon

Connie R. McKoon, 60, of Busti, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, after a brief but resolute battle with cancer. She was born in Jamestown on May 9, 1964, to the late Conrad and Shirley Stitler McKoon.

Connie’s life was one of dedicated hard work. After graduating from Jamestown High School in 1982, she immediately joined the work force, never missing a day, regardless of pleasures or trials alike. Connie was most recently employed by Anderson Precision.

Life’s priority remained with her children for Connie. She loved to jovially laugh almost as much as she adored her grandson and looked forward to the arrival of her granddaughter in April of 2025.

A woman who took pride in her home, Connie developed a remarkable green thumb, spending countless hours with her flowers and garden. It was argued that her spring showing could rival that of local greenhouses. On the inside, Connie spent weeks decorating for the holidays, and the joy she exuded from the process was contagious. Her cleaning regimens were top notch, always maintaining a tidy home in which her family gathered.

Connie was an excellent baker, only ever committing to the task once a year at Christmastime when she would make thousands of cookies. While Connie never wanted for anything, she cherished her hobby of crafting as well as Halloween parties. What’s more, she held an unmatched kinship with her dog, Daisy.

Connie’s zestful spirit will be deeply missed by the love of her life, her 41-year companion, Garry Burch; her children: Chad Burch of Jamestown, Tyler Burch of Jamestown, and Macy (Marquis) Adams of Randolph; her grandson, Morgan Adams; her expectant granddaughter; siblings: Debbie McKoon of California, Rick McKoon of Florida, and Mike McKoon of Jamestown; as well as several nephews.

Besides her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff McKoon, in 2016.

The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation from 10am-12pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Lind Funeral Home. In keeping with Connie’s wishes, no service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park.
