Anna Bogardi Kutschke

Anna Bogardi Kutschke

Anna Bogardi Kutschke, 81, of Lakewood, passed away one day shy of her birthday, on November 26, 2024, at UPMC Hamot. Born in Ugod, Hungary on November 27, 1942, Anna immigrated to America where she continued schooling in Jamestown.

She met and married the love of her life, Hubert J. Kutschke, on July 1, 1967, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Together, they lovingly raised their family with faith at the core of all they did.

Anna worked as a housekeeper at the then WCA Hospital for over 30 years. A woman with the gift of gabbing, Anna will be remembered for always telling it precisely how it was without any need for sugarcoating.

Crocheting was arguably Anna’s deepest passion. She also loved flowers, particularly geraniums. Family meals exhilarated her spirit, where she forever served the very best chocolate chip cookies.

An instant camera was often found in Anna’s hands, taking pictures of anything and everything. She cherished music, dancing to polka and having a special affinity for Elvis Presley. Throughout her days, Anna learned to watch wrestling with her dad and continued to do so on her own. Anna was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Anna leaves behind her husband, Hubert J. Kutschke; five children: Ilona Stanley (Steven), Thomas H. Kutschke (Lisa), Phillip Kutschke, Joseph Kutschke, and Linda Deming; grandchildren: Jason (Shelby) Stanley, Amber Kutschke, Amanda (Kevin Waldensmith) Kutschke, Jessica Kutschke, Sasha (Bill) Kutschke, Patrick Deming, and Christine Deming; and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Marcin Porada will be celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 3-5pm Monday, December 2, 2024 in the Lind Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Apostles Parish, 27 Allen Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
