Thaddeus Bilicki

He was born on March 17, 1933 in Arnold PA, to Stanley and Pelagia Bilicki. He graduated from Arnold High School in 1950. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Alliance College in 1954 followed by a master’s degree from St. Bonaventure University. He served in the United States Army from 1954 through 1956 in the 44th MASH unit in South Korea.

Following his service in the military, he taught history at Lincoln Junior High School from 1958 through 1975. After teaching and chairing the district’s social studies department, he took on the roles of principal at Jefferson Junior High School, 9th grade principal at Jamestown High School, Assistant Superintendent and finally Acting Superintendent of the Jamestown Public Schools, from which he retired in 1994.

He was preceded in death by his wives Audrey Bilicki in 1997 and Tanya Stawiarski Bilicki in 2023.

He is survived by his son Byron Bilicki (Barb) of Lakewood NY and daughter Susan Rakus (Jules) of Madison NJ; and his three grandchildren, Jennifer Jackson (Ryan) of Boston MA, Danielle Ghanti (Neil) of St. Louis MO, and Alexander Bilicki of Buffalo NY.

A private family service will be held at a future date.
