Sally Anne Jones Brauer

She was the daughter of the late Col Ralph Allen Jones Jr and Miriam Hunter Jones.

Born in Jamestown, NY on October 8, 1943. Sally grew up in a military family and traveled with her family during her early years. As a young woman she attended St Margaret’s School for girls in Tappahannock, Va before continuing her studies at Washington University in St Louis where she attained her master’s in clinical physiology. After graduation she returned to Washington DC to work for the United States government in the postal service as a management specialist.

She married the love of her life Donald Brauer on July 1, 1982. Sally traveled extensively during her entire life from a young woman till late in her life. She and her husband Don both were stalwart supporters of the arts in the Wilmington area.

Sally is survived by a sister Martha, Falconer (Lawrence) Upson of Greensboro, North Carolina, brother, William Hunter (Kristen) Jones of Bemus Point, New York brother Robert Fletcher Jones of Quartzite, Arizona, and a stepdaughter Robin Brauer Hayes of Virginia Beach, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Brauer, her oldest brother Allen Falconer Jones, and a stepson Scott Brauer.

Interment and celebration of life will take place in Jamestown NY at a date to be announced.
