Patricia R. Carpenter

She was born August 3, 1951 in Westfield, NY, a daughter of the late Robert and Janet (TenHaken) Seblink.

Pat was raised and educated in Clymer and graduated from Clymer Central School in 1969. She then attended Findlay College in Findlay, OH. She graduated in 1973 with a degree in Elementary Education. Pat then taught for Clymer Central School for 35 years retiring in 2008.

She was a 65-year member of Clymer Hill Reformed Church, choir director, Sunday school teacher and taught the kid’s choir. She was a member of the New York State Teachers Association, National Education Association and Clymer Central School Teacher Union. Pat enjoyed reading, shopping, going to lunch with her friends and loved to swim. She also had a passion for music and sang in a trio for several years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Seblink and nephew, Jamie Silk.

Pat is survived by her husband, Michael Carpenter, whom she married October 7, 1978 in Clymer, NY; daughter, Lyndsay Carpenter of Erie, PA; brother, Dr. Gregory Seblink and his wife Marly of Corry, PA and nieces and nephews, John Silk, Jamie Silk, Lynda Richardson, Brett Williams and Derek Williams.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
