Linda L. Raner
Linda L. Raner (McKiernan), 75 of Jamestown, passed away the morning of Saturday, Sept. 28 in the loving care of the “mean nurse” at the Star Hospice House in Lakewood while watching The Golden Girls. Linda was born July 29, 1949.
She was proceeded in death by Erne Diers, Irene Foster Diers, daughter Karen L. Burt, brothers Paul Diers and Bubby Diers.
She is survived by her son, Ken Raner, two grandchildren Chris Burt and Justin Burt. She had two nephews, Henry and Anthony Diers and one niece, Shalin Harrison and grand-nephew Andy Diers.
Her favorite color was green, she liked ladybugs and country music. She loved to knit, crochet and play games on the computer. She would spend hours playing cribbage before the passing of her brother Bubby. The one thing Linda loved more than her family and friends was her pets. She had many cats and dogs in her lifetime, but she especially enjoyed the Pomeranian breed.
Linda spent the last two weeks of her life in the care of the Star Hospice House. The “mean nurse”, as she described one nurse, was kind and caring, trying to help her remain comfortable.
Linda’s family appreciates the support and kindness the staff showed.
Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.
