Glenda M. “GiGi” Garland Leeper

Glenda M. “GiGi” Garland Leeper, 74, of 49 W. 10th Street, died Wednesday October 16,2024, in UPMC Hamot, Erie.
She was born October 29, 1949, in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of Grayce Sayles Garland and the late Robert Lee Garland, Sr.
GiGi was a graduate of City Honors High School, Buffalo and went on to receive certification as a licensed practical nurse.
Coming to Jamestown in 1970, she worked as an LPN at Tanglewood Manor, WCA Hospital and Cummins.
She was a member of Blackwell Chapel AME Zion Church, where served as head usher and worked with the Baby Cafe ministry. GiGi was a very loving and caring person who had an effect on anybody that she met.
Surviving is her mother of Buffalo; two sons Saron (Natalie) Leeper and Quentin (Heather) Leeper, both of Jamestown; six grandchildren Quentasia Leeper, Saron Leeper Jr., Amare Leeper, Egypt Leeper, Simeon Leeper and Kaiden Cusimano; a great grandson Jakaii Leeper; a brother Robert (Nicole) Garland Jr., two sisters Zelda Garland and Lorna Garland (Sam) Feaster, both of Buffalo, and longtime friend Yvonne Wasson.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roger Leeper in 2008 and two sisters Saundra and Wendy Garland.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Wednesday in Blackwell Chapel AME Zion Church. Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Tuesday in the church.
