Rosabelle Grimes

She was born September 29, 1934 in North East, PA, the daughter of the late Chrystal C. and Eva Winkler Brown Sr.

Rosabelle attended Falconer High School and received her GED in 1992. She was a dedicated homemaker for most of her life.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and attended the Jamestown Adult Day Care Center. In earlier years she enjoyed cooking, baking, and attending local bible studies.

Surviving are six sons: Michael Hayes, Patrick Hayes, Jerry Hayes, Thomas Hayes, Timothy Hayes, Sean Hayes; 22 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; two brothers: John Brown, Jim Brown; two sisters: Grace Larkin, Marjorie (Larry) Briggs.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Phillip Hayes, her second husband James L. Grimes; three daughters: Rita Hayes, Teresa R. Hunt and Robin Hayes; five brothers: Charles, William, Lawrence “Stub”, Chrystal Jr. and Wesley Brown; three sisters: Leyla Borquin, Hazel Brown and Cora Aldrich.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Allen Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
