Lorene Warmack

Lorene Warmack, 89, of The Magnolia in Frewsburg, NY, and formerly of Jamestown, NY, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, at UPMC Chautauqua. Born on June 12, 1935, in English, AR, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ophelia Brooks James.

Lorene graduated from Reydell High School and later moved to Jamestown, where she married Raymond Eugene Warmack on June 6, 1959. Throughout her life, she worked in various roles within the retail industry, including clerical positions at Bigelow Department Store and the Retired & Senior Volunteer Programs (RSVP) of Lutheran Social Services.

A devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Lorene enjoyed singing in the choir and was actively involved in her community. She was also a member of the Jamestown Elks Lodge IBPOE of W.

Lorene’s life was marked by her dedication to her family and her community, and she will be remembered for her warm spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.

Lorene led a rich and fulfilling life, balancing her diverse interests with her commitment to her family. Whether she was enjoying a game of bowling, getting creative with fashion design, or simply cooking a meal for her loved ones, her passion for nurturing and spending time with her family was at the heart of everything she did. Her ability to juggle these various activities while keeping her family as her central focus speaks to a life well-lived and deeply cherished.

In addition to her parents, Lorene is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Eugene Warmack; her grandparents Ned and Florence Brooks; her brother, John James; and her uncles Johnnie Lee, Lawrence, and Henry Brooks, as well as her aunt, Eva Stovall.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Montrese of Minneapolis, MN; her grandson, Adonis (Elba) Frazier of Minneapolis, MN; and her great-grandchildren, Da’san Frazier of Atlanta, GA, Nia Frazier, and Santiago Frazier, both of Minneapolis, MN. Lorene is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Whittington of Williamsport, PA; her nephew, David (Tammy) James of Stroudsburg, PA; and her niece, Sadie James of Milwaukee, WI. Additionally, she leaves behind great-nieces and nephews Shantel James Quezaire, Aaron, Mia, and Emma James; a great-great-nephew, Devon Quezaire; and a son-in-law, Gregory Sankara Frazier of Minneapolis, MN.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Magnolia, 106 Main St., Frewsburg, NY 14738.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, Oct. 4, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 53 23rd Street, Jamestown, NY, from noon until 1 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM, officiated by The Rev. Maria Jones. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Lakewood, NY.
