Ernestine A. (Zollinger) Richthammer

Ernestine A. (Zollinger) Richthammer, 93, of Falconer Street, Jamestown, passed awayon Monday, September 2, 2024 in the UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa. She was born February 18, 1931 in South Dayton, the daughter of late Ernest “Ernie”Zollinger and Mary Curtis.

Mrs. Richthammer was a graduate of South Dayton High School and had attended Randolph Central School and the Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at the former JN Adams Developmental in Perrysburg.

Ernestine was a life- long member of the Girl Scouts of America and had received both a 65 year pin and the Thanks Badge Award. She was also a Girl Scout leader for a few years in South Dayton. She had a deep love of her family, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also found great joy in doing Zollinger family genealogy.

She was a memberof the Star Craft Camping Club, she and her late husband traveled with Star Craft for many years.

She is survived by a daughter; Mary R. Mitiguy of Ira, VT., two sons; Paul A.Richthammer and wife Robin of Houston, TX., Robert M. Richthammer and wife Sally of South Bend, IN, six grandchildren; Karla, Kurt, Andrew, Allison, Maxwell andNatalie, four great grandchildren; Jaxson, Presley, Wanda and Ranger, a sister; RosemaryMancuso of Fredonia, two brothers; Howard “Bud” Zollinger and wife Bonnie ofRandolph and Jim Zollinger of TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard A. Richthammer, whom she married July 2, 1955 in Perrysburg and who preceded her on July 12, 2011, a brother,Robert Zollinger and a sister-in-law; Cindy (Atwood) Zollinger.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, (September 6, 2024) in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph. Pastor Tim Middleton, pastor of the East Randolph Methodist Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in the St.Patrick’s Cemetery, Randolph.
