Thomas C. “Tom” Judge
Thomas C. “Tom” Judge, 70, of Russell, PA, passed away peacefully at home Friday, August 9, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born May 11, 1954 in Warren, PA to Forrest and Kathryn McArthur Judge.
Following graduation from Jamestown High School, Tom went on to own and operate his own business, Landscape Alive, for years. He, too, worked as a machinist at Cummins as his full-time career. Additionally, he was a bartender and bouncer for the Grog Shop and Cozy Corners. A driver for Ethan Allen, he worked for Irr supply and worked at Anderson’s Tree Farm for many years, caring for the Christmas trees.
More than anything, Tom was a simple man who was always present when needed; assuredly, he stayed devoted to passing on his passions to his family. An avid Harley rider who still owned and treasured his first bike, he taught his son, Tyler, to ride well before his time. Tom cherished every bit of the outdoors. He had an affinity for deer, squirrel, and turkey hunting, with his favorite being anything involving archery. The woods were his sacred grounds, taking his children camping in the summer and forever being found with a fishing pole by a river or lake.
A big burly guy standing at 6′ 2″, Tom focused on the present and the future more than the past; even more, he was never angry. He married Tina on 9/10/11 at 12:13pm in Hell, MI where they each still own a 2×2 plot of the satirical land. A dog or two was a staple of Tom’s life, loving them as critical members of his family. He was a social member of the VVA and belonged to the Sons of the American Legion in Falconer.
Tom’s simple yet profound presence forever be revered by his wife, Tina French Judge; three children: Tyler (Shawna) Judge of Bemus Point; Karisa Slater of Bradford; and Justin (Katie) Caruso of South Carolina; thirteen grandchildren: Bryan, Nichole, Ciano, Jayden, Adam, Dominic, Kaleb, Connor, Thomas, Victoria, Julian, Skylar, and Abigail; four great-grandchildren: Elijah, Aiden, Xavier, and Nova; Patricia Judge; and two dogs: Zena and Sam.
Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his dogs: Rebel, Cleo, and Brutus.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 1-3pm at the Fluvanna Fire Hall.
In lieu of flowers, Tom’s family would gratefully accept memorials toward his funeral expenses.
