Maureen Marie Jennings

She was born Sept. 20, 1949 in Olean, the daughter of Milton D. and Eleanor L. (Mann) Jennings.

Maureen was a attended Salamanca High School and received her associates degree in Human Services from Jamestown Community College.

She retired from doing family home care through New York State and working for Family Care in Olean. In earlier years, she had been an over the road truck driver and working for ACME Electric.

Maureen was a member of the Steamburg Community Church and enjoyed reading, playing competitive softball with the “Dixie Chicks” and she loved to travel.

She is survived by two sisters Wendy K. Bish of Salamanca, and Shirley Gomez of Plant City, Florida, her beloved dog Rusty, many nieces and nephews, and her life-long best friend, Judy (Jack) Hill of Salamanca.

Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Eleanor, two brothers, Mark and Charles Jennings and a brother-in-law, Thomas Bish.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m.-12 noon on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, from the Steamburg Community Church, Lebanon Road, Steamburg, N.Y. The service will follow at noon in the Church. Pastor Rick Peters will officiate. Burial will be in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Portville.
