Lucinda F. “Cindy” Swearingen

She was born October 17, 1952, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Carroll and Edith Harrington Blodgett.

She was a 1970 graduate of Southwestern Central School, earned a nursing degree from SUNY Fredonia and later a bachelor’s degree in social work from Edinboro University.

For several years she worked as a registered nurse for Metro Health Center.

Cindy enjoyed volunteering for hospice, attending Methodist church services, cross stitch and sowing.

Surviving are three children Cheryl (Matthew) Swanson of McKean, PA, Jason (Elsie) Swearingen of Edinboro and Gerret (Amanda) Swearingen of Wattsburg, PA; grandchildren Hanna (Andrew) Sweny, Emily Swanson, Jason, Daniel, Havana, Conrad, Gabriella, Olivia, Harper and Scarlett Swearingen and Madison Gleason and two brothers Douglas (Lisa) Blodgett and Rex (Nancy) Blodgett both of California.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son Nicholas Swearingen and a sister Debra Blodgett.

The funeral will be held at noon Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Busti Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 10-noon Saturday in the funeral home.
