Gerrie L. Person

Born July 7, 1936, in Peekskill, NY, she was the daughter of the late George William and Sylvia Lee Carothers Ness.

She was a 1953 graduate of Falconer Central School.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Southwestern Central School District as a bus driver for over 30 years.

Gerrie enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, walking, and mowing. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family.

Surviving are two children William (Debbie) Doty and Denise (Tim) Mancari both of Jamestown; two grandchildren Laura (Dan) Allen of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Steve (Kaitlyn) Mancari of Getzville, NY; four great-grandchildren Tyler, Jace, and Owen Mancari and Brooke Allen and a longtime companion Greg Kanouff of Lakewood.

She was preceded in death by her first husband William Doty, June 6, 1973.

In keeping with Gerrie’s wishes no funeral service or visitation will be observed.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Chautauqua County Humane Society.
