Theodore A. “Ted” Trainer

A lifelong area resident he was born October 20, 1951 in Jamestown, the son of the late Joseph A. Trainer and Marjorie Walters Trainer Faber.

Ted was a 1969 graduate of Falconer High School and was employed by Westburgh Electric and WCA Hospital. Prior to retirement he was employed by Southwestern Central School District.

Ted was an accomplished musician with the saxophone and flute. He enjoyed landscaping having built numerous rock walls and flower beds. In high school Ted enjoyed wrestling and was an assistant wrestling coach for Jamestown Community College.

Ted was a man of few words with a huge heart always ready to lend a hand to others.

Surviving is his wife Sylvia G. Bird Trainer whom he married December 31, 1988 in Kennedy; a son Toby (Christina) Trainer of Santa Barbara, CA; a brother Thomas Trainer of Falconer; four sisters: Terry Ortner of Falconer, Penny (David) Gottsche of Kenai, Alaska, Laurie Trainer of Florida, and Jane (Kirk) Crawford of Angola, NY.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters: Georgette Trainer and Connie Sontag.

As per Ted’s wishes no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
