Richard “Dick” C. Fletcher

Richard “Dick” C. Fletcher, age 76, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at UPMC Hamot Hospital.

Born in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of Donald and Lucille Fletcher. Richard graduated from Frontier High School in Hamburg and Alfred Tech with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He served 4 years with the US Army as a Military Police Officer in Frankfurt Germany, returning to Western, NY to own and operate a dairy Farm of Distinction in Clymer, NY. After selling the farm, he pursued a career and retired from the Farm Service Agency with the US Department of Agriculture in Chautauqua, NY. He enjoyed spending his winters in Largo, FL and returning in the summers to drive the school bus for Clymer Central School.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothea C. Fletcher of 21 years; sister, Donna (Tommy Schultz), daughter, Sheila (Matt) Wade, son, Jeffrey (Nicole) Fletcher, and grandchildren, Daniella and Emma Wade and Megan, Abigail and Lilly Fletcher. Richard loved spending time with family and friends, both in Western, NY and Largo, FL.

His bright rosy cheeks were just a precursor to his contagious smile, quick wit and infectious sense of humor.

Family and friends may call at Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407 on Saturday, August 3rd, from 11 am until the time of the memorial service there at 1 pm.
