Lucille E. Spallino

She was born in Dunkirk on March 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Larry and Lucy Aguglia Malta, and was a graduate of Dunkirk High School.

A retiree of KeyBank’s mortgage department in Jamestown, she had also been a designer for Garden of Eden, Girton’s, and C Rosiez’s flower shops. Along with floral designing, Lucille enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and was a member of the Gaeta Club.

Surviving are four children Joseph Spallino of Jamestown, Michael Spallino of Indiana, LuAnn DeFrisco of Jamestown, and Daniel (Vicki) Spallino of Apollo, PA; eight grandchildren Richard (Stacy) Bruce, Jr., Joseph Spallino, Jacob Spallino, Hallie Jo Spallino, Mason Spallino, Ryanne (Steve) Geiger, Morgan Spallino, and Brandon Spallino; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Spallino whom she married in 1960 and who died in 2018; and two brothers, Charles and Philip Malta.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. A private family service will be held.
