Leigh A. Johnson

Leigh was born November 9, 1935 in Jamestown the son of the late Sigurd and Lucy Neate Johnson, he was a lifelong area resident. Leigh was married to Janice (Bishop) from October 1953 until her death in January of 2009. Leigh served in the US Navy and upon his return he was employed by MCR-SKF until his retirement in 1997.

He is survived by two sons: Malcolm (Donna) Johnson of Jamestown, NY; Douglas (Baleria) Johnson of Falconer, NY; two daughters: Cheryl (Thomas Payne) Johnson of Painted Post, NY, and Pamela Cook of Medina, NY; eleven grandchildren, nine and three quarter great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a brother: Robert Johnson of Logan, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by wife Janice Bishop Johnson, a grandchild Adam Leigh Cook and a great grandchild Emeline Johnson.

A memorial service will be held on Monday July 22 ,2024 at 4 pm in the Falconer Funeral Home.

Friends will be received by the family Monday from 3 pm to 4 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to a local VA Organization or the Scandia VFD 5950 Scandia Rd, Russell, PA 16345.
