Janell J. John
Janell J. John, 45, of Edson Rd, Sinclairville, passed away at home Tuesday, July 23, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 4, 1978 in Jamestown to Marvin and Constance Powers John.
A free-spirited soul, Janell made her career as office manager at Jamestown Bowling Company where she also found passion in bowling herself. Traveling was Janell’s favorite. She was smitten with Myrtle Beach while invariably finding joy in any and every beach. On the average evening, everyone knew not to call Janell between 7 and 8, because she was happily locked in on her favorites: Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Janell was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Janell cherished every day with her daughter, Nora Brown, and her companion, Timothy Brown. She will additionally be remembered and missed by her sister, Jennifer (James Jr.) Rizzo of Brocton; her niece, newly married Jessica (Matthew) Polvino; nephew, Hunter (Sydne) Rizzo; great nieces: Sophia Rizzo, Secillia Rizzo, and Milani Polvino; and many aunts and uncles including beloved and supportive Aunt Patti and Uncle Darrel France.
Besides her parents, Janell was preceded in death by her brother, Scott John; her maternal grand- parents, Clifford and Doris Powers; and her paternal grandparents, Evan and Myrtle John.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 30 at 12:00 noon at Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service from 10-12 Tuesday.
