David Scott Cook

David Scott Cook, 70, of Willowbrook Drive, Lockport, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 9, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Williamsville, NY.

He was born June 8, 1954, in Jamestown, the son of the late Robert G. Cook and the late Harriett Cook Larson.

David was a 1972 graduate of Falconer Central School. During his high school years, David was a member of the Varsity Wrestling Team and was Senior Class President. He attended Jamestown Community College and St. Bonaventure University. He went on to further his education receiving a degree in Business Management from Houghton University and an additional degree in Wireless Networking from Bryant and Stratton College. In 2014, he began studying voice acting with Len Tobin.

David worked at Fraser Harlake calibrating and repairing medical equipment for major hospitals throughout the US. Eventually he and a coworker purchased that division of the company, named it Cook Medical Technology and went on to work independently for over 40 years.

David was a kind and loving person who enjoyed writing funny anecdotes, painting, camping, fishing, and traveling. He was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres.

Surviving is his long-time companion, Susan Kilger, with whom he made his home. He is also survived by his children Mackenzie Cook and Nora (Travis Emens) Cook and his siblings Randall (Mary) Cook, Cynthia (Bruce) Durfee, and Barbara Colburn, and a niece Kathleen (Aaron) Mueller.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother James L. Cook who passed away in 1991.

In keeping with David’s wishes, no viewing or funeral will be held. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery, Clarks Corners, NY, at the convenience of the family.
