Daniel J. Dolan

Daniel J. Dolan
Daniel J. Dolan, 60, of Ashville passed away at home Wednesday evening, July 10, 2024. He was born May 4, 1964 in Cleveland, OH to John Francis Dolan and Rose Fitzsimmons Dolan.
Daniel’s career began as a proud U.S. Marine, serving from 1984-1988. While serving his country, he received a Letter of Appreciation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and Rifle Marksman Badge. After leaving the Corps, he married the love of his life, Natalie E. Luker Dolan in Fredericksburg, VA.
Daniel and Natalie came to Chautauqua where Daniel spent his summer and holidays at his family farm. They raised their family in Jamestown. He was a hands-on dad to Thomas (Amanda), Meghan Dolan, and Samuel Dolan; and a proud Papa to Maurice Daniels, Ellianna Daniels, and Lillian Dolan.
Truly, Daniel was a jack-of-all-trades, as exemplified by owning and operating his own business, Dolan Home Improvements, for many years. There was no job too big for Danny and there was the easy way or Dan’s way. Daniel loved fishing, especially with grandchildren, at his pond. Hunting and being outdoors was his passion.
He was a true Cleveland Browns fan and loved watching the games with his boys. In his younger days, Daniel was an avid horseback rider.
A member of the Catholic faith, Daniel also belonged to numerous local clubs.
Besides his wife, children, and grandchildren, Daniel leaves behind several siblings: Patricia Kelly (Brian), John Dolan, Mary Dolan (Leon Welgs), Margaret Dolan, Ann Dolan, Kathleen Conrad, and Michael Dolan; many nieces and nephews; and, notably, the very best companion pup, Teddy.
Daniel had the gift of the Irish and could never pass a person without starting a conversation. He would take the shirt off of his back to help anyone.
Daniel was preceded in death by both of his parents, an infant sibling, and a grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 3 pm at Lind Funeral Home. Reverend Paul Cygan will officiate. Visitation will not be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY, 780 Ferry St., Buffalo, NY 14222.
