Amy V. Clark

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Amy V. Hayes Clark, 51, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Amy left us peacefully on March 24, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.

Born to Douglas Hayes (Susan) and Sandra Bukowski (Joseph), Amy grew up in a nurturing environment, surrounded by love and care from her family. She was a beacon of light in the lives of her sisters, Rebecca Hayes Payne and Cheri Hayes Hurlburt (Doug), and the cherished aunt of Ryan (Abbey), Paige, and great-niece Roxanne Hurlburt. Amy also held a special place in the hearts of her step-siblings (Jeff, Leigh, James, Gina and Stephanie) who will miss her dearly. She is also survived by former husband Roger Clark and significant other Raymond Barnes.

Amy’s life was a testament to her passion for helping those around her. Her kind heart and generous spirit touched many lives. She dedicated herself to various causes and community services, always putting others’ needs before her own and always brought the outdoors in with her vibrant stories of adventure.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Frederick and Marian Hayes, and her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Louise Harman, along with many other aunts, uncles and cousins and now joins them all in eternal rest.

Amy’s absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those who loved her. Her legacy of kindness, empathy, and selflessness will continue to inspire us all.

A celebration of Amy’s life will be held Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 1-3 PM at the Family Hose Fire Company 122 Park St., Sherman, New York 14781.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of one’s choice.
