Sharon E. Hallgren

She was born in Jamestown on August 7, 1941, the daughter of the late Leo F. and Doris Calkins Hilt, and was a graduate of Jamestown High School.

Sharon enjoyed Bingo, her trips to Ecklof Bakery, Friday night family dinners, and especially time with her grandchildren. She also loved spoiling her grand pups.

Surviving are four children; Dale (Kathy) Anderson of Tennessee and Kathy (Marty) Heglund, Denise (Lon) Johnson and Stacy Nelsen, all of Jamestown; six grandchildren: Jennifer Anderson, Michael (Amber) Johnson, Amanda Johnson, Makala Nelsen, Kelsey (Buddy) Hall and Scott (Brooke) Anderson; great grandson, Colt Anderson; a brother, Richard Hilt of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Hallgren, whom she married Sept. 19, 1987 and who died Nov. 20, 2020; a brother, Gerald Hilt in 1989; and sister-in-law, Betsy Hilt in 2000.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 24th in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
