Robert D. Buskist

He was born May 24, 1934 in the Town of Napoli, New York the son of the late Luin and Lana (Miller) Buskist.

Bob attended Randolph Central School and along with his late brother Leo Buskist, had owned and operated an exclusive Antique Tractor repair and sales dealership for many years. Bob also was a well- known furniture builder and did furniture restoration as well.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycle and tractor pulls. He participated in many fairs and local events, showing off his prized tractors and miniature tractors. He was a long standing member of the NYS Steam Engine Club, Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society, WNY Steam and Gas Engine Association, the Chautauqua and Cattaraugus County Antique Equipment Associations.

He is survived by a niece; Carol (David) Buskist Pence of East Randolph, a great niece; Rene Pence of East Randolph, several half nieces and nephews; Dorothy Hokanson, William Textor, Ellsworth Textor Jr. Garry Textor, Daniel Textor and Raymond Textor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brother; Norris and Leo, a niece, Donna Abbey and a nephew; Henry Textor.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11 AM, Monday, July 1, 2024 from the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM., with Paul Gebhard officiating. Burial will follow in the East Randolph Cemetery.
