Michael Laurence Bradshaw

Michael Laurence Bradshaw
Michael Laurence Bradshaw, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and committed dear friend, passed away in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 6, 2024, surrounded by his family.
In his giving nature, Michael was an organ donor. Thanks to Tennessee Organ Donor Services, his generous wish has saved many lives. He was celebrated with an Honor-Walk at the Hospital where] this took place. It was deeply emotional.
Born January 30, 1960, in Jamestown, New York, to the late
Bruce and Crystal Bradshaw, Michael was also a dear brother to Kevin Bradshaw,
Siobhan Bradshaw, Earle Bradshaw (Sally & niece, Lydia).
He was a devoted husband to Julia Perkins, a loving father to Christopher Bradshaw and Avalon Alexander (Colton), and a caring stepfather to Serena Ellis and the late Zachary Ellis. He also took great pride in being a grandfather to Charlotte Alexander, Luna Shearer, and Ayden Faulkner.
As an active member of the Elks Association, Michael dedicated many years to serving his community through this organization. He was feted at a beautiful service at his local Elks Club in Madison, TN, where he will be sorely missed by many dear friends. We express heartfelt thanks to those members for their kind support during those difficult days.
To Michael’s friends and family, he was known as “The Professor.” He was able to fix almost anything. If he was unsure of how to do something in the moment, he would go learn how to and come back an expert. He loved the challenge.
Michael had a natural talent for playing the guitar and wrote some of his own beautiful music that touched the hearts of those who listened.
In addition to his musical abilities, Michael had a passion for cooking. He delighted in preparing people’s favorite meals and was known for his amazing bread and pizza creations.
Michael graduated with the class of 1978 at Southwestern High School. To this day he and his friends are well known for, and fondly remember, their famous “barn-parties” that would be attended by hundreds of area-wide guests.
He graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts at Jamestown Community College in 1980 and attended San Francisco School of Art studying photography, the beginnings of what has become digital art and ceramics.
After working at C.O.D.E. of Jamestown for 25 years doing community rehabilitation development, Michael obtained his license to become a home inspector in 2015, and he continued on with that career until his passing.
During this time of grief, we find solace in the following scripture: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.” — John 11:25-26
Although we mourn the loss of Michael, we also celebrate the beautiful memories and the profound impact he had on our lives. His legacy of love, kindness, and strength will forever live on.
A memorial service will be held on July 7, 2024, from 2:30pm-5:00pm at the Falconer Rod and Gun Club (2178 1/2 Buffalo Street Extension, Falconer, NY, 14733). All who knew and loved Michael are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to your local BPOE Elks Chapter or donor services.
May Michael rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
