Howard Holthouse

He was born July 14, 1952 in Corry, PA, a son of the late Wayne and Ruth (Bensink) Holthouse.

Howard was raised and educated in Corry and graduated from Corry Area High School in 1970. He then worked for Corry Jamestown and Corry Hiebert as a brake operator. After they closed, he worked for Corry Contract as a brake operator until he retired in 2018. In September of 2019, Howard began working part time for Corry Fabrication until May of 2023. He was the compactor for Clymer from March of 2019 until May 2023.

He was a member of the Eagles Club in Wattsburg, a life member of the Clymer Volunteer Fire Department, most recently serving as a commissioner. Howard enjoyed hunting and was an avid wood worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Carter William Heslink.

Howard is survived by two daughters, Julie Morton of Fredonia, NY and Tara Hoitink and her husband Kevin of Clymer, NY; two brothers, Terry Holthouse and his wife Debbie of Corry, PA and Khlar Holthouse and his wife Laura of Lockport, NY; six grandchildren, Tyler (Kaleigh) Heslink of Clymer, NY, Maddison (Shawn) Richardson of Dunkirk, NY, Olivia Heslink of Ashville, NY; Devin and Henry Hoitink of Clymer, NY and two great-grandsons, Miles Richardson and Canaan Guimond.

Family and friends are invited to call at Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407 on Wednesday, June 19th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Thursday, June 20th at 11 am.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, PA.
