Esther Joyce Kuczynski

Esther Joyce Kuczynski (nee Russell) passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, in Erie, PA, at the age of 92. Born on Dec. 8, 1931, in Erie, PA to Veronica Mae Hunter and Earl G.W. Russell, she married Paul Robert Kuczynski on June 17, 1950. She was an avid dog lover and a former Avon lady.

Esther was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul, her son Mitchell, and her great-grandson Jacob. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Bill, Herbert, Fred, Richard, Theodore, Arthur, Albert, and James; and sisters Betty, Gloria, and Virginia. She is survived by her loving children, Bob (Linda), Deb, Dean, Wilma (Vince), Paula (Ron), and Tim (Janet); her grandchildren Paul, Beverly, Jessica, Yvonne, Kristina, Debbie, Vincent, Doug, Bridget, Devin, Renee, Jay, Kyle, and Cody; 15 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Janice, Charleen, Trudy, Sandy, Jack, and Eddie.

A member of The Pillar of Fire Fellowship in Dunkirk, NY, Esther’s commitment to her faith was evident in her daily life.

Memorial services for Esther will be announced at a later date. Interment will be at the St. Matthias Cemetery in French Creek, NY. The family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to Chautauqua County Hospice or Hanover Volunteer Fire Department.

Esther’s sense of humor and strength will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
