Randolph- Michelle “Mikki” Joan Arrance, 77, of Williams Street, Randolph, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the UPMC- Chautauqua Hospital.
She was born January 28, 1947 in Salamanca, New York the daughter of the late John Charles and Joan Harriette (Kilburn) Hoffman.
She was a 1964 graduate of Randolph Central School and had attended Jamestown Community College. She was a Communicant of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where she was a religious instructor, Eucharistic Minister, Altar & Rosary Society Member and a reader. She also attended the ladies bible study at the Randolph Faith Bible Chapel.
Mikki worked alongside her husband at Randolph Hardware. In earlier years, in addition to being a homemaker, she had worked at Kilburn’s Boat House and Ski Shop in Allegany State Park and Dock’s Red House Inn. She was an avid game and card player, enjoyed traveling, hiking and walking the beach. The most important things in her life were her family, faith and looking for the good in every situation and person.
She is survived by her husband, Terry P. Arrance, whom she married on April 30, 1966, a son; Michael (Wendy) Arrance of Odessa, NY, five daughters; Loni (Tim) Nagle of Randolph, Lori (Greg) Brown of Grand Island, Tracy (Tim) Ploetz of West Valley, Jade (Tim) Webber of Forestville and Ashley (Justin) Chudy of Kill Buck, 23 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
She is additionally survived by four sisters; Cathie (Ben) VanSickle of Randolph, Mary Jo (Russell) Riddell of Randolph, Tamara (Brian) Booth of Salamanca and Jacqueline (Gerry) Emborski of Gowanda, cousin Harry (late Rita) Sienkiewicz of Red House as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Joan and her brother, John Hoffman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 189 Main Street, Randolph. The Rev. Donald Watkins will be the Celebrant. The family will be present to receive friends and family in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph, on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2 to 4:45 with rosary to follow. Burial will be in the Steamburg Cemetery.
