Arlene Sue Rickard Johnson

A lifelong area resident she was born August 22, 1949 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Evalyn Wallin Rickard.

Arlene was a dedicated housewife and enjoyed watching her birds, being with her dog Pepsi Marie, and talking to her sister, Joyce Bigney on the phone every day. She also enjoyed bossing her husband around while working on their building projects.

Arlene was a dedicated wife to Roger M. Johnson of 55 years, whom she married October 26, 1968; three sons: Kevin M. Johnson of Jamestown, Michael R. (Greta) Johnson of Gerry and the late Jonathan L. Johnson. She was Grandmother to Justin J. Johnson (Jennifer), Kyle M. Johnson, Joe Johnson, and Hunter and Morgan Johnson. Great Grandmother to Aubrey, Alivia, and Arielle Johnson. Sister to Ronnie (Brenda) Rickard, Dan (Mary) Rickard, Joyce Bigney, Beverly Bigney and Rhonda Straight. Also survived by her brother-in-law Larry (Marcia) Johnson.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son Jonathan J. Johnson on December 12, 1992; a grandson Toby Johnson; three sisters: Janet Rickard, Linda Miller, and Sandra Furlow.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. James D. Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.

Friends will be received by the family from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
