Terry L. Walker,

Terry L. Walker, 61, of Kennedy, passed away unexpectedly on Friday (April 5, 2024) at his home. A lifelong area resident he was born July 3, 1962 in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Herman G. and Alice Firth Walker.

Terry was a 1980 graduate of Falconer High School and a 1986 graduate of Alfred State College. As a teenager he worked for the Kimball Family at Kimvale Farms, and later was a Doorman at the Rusty Nail. Prior to retirement in 2017, he was employed by SKF-USA for 35 years. Terry also owned and operated a hobby farm, raising beef cattle for 25 years.

He served as a Town of Poland Town Councilman from 2000 to present. During his tenure he organized the Memorial Day Observances at the Riverside Cemetery in Kennedy and more recently was also the Master of Ceremonies. In addition he participated in several Flag Retirement ceremonies. He also could be seen volunteering at the annual Kennedy Halloween Parties and Easter Egg Hunts. Terry spent some time coaching Minor League ball teams for Falconer Little League and also the Falconer Area Soccer Teams summer recreation league. He was a member of the NRA, the UAW, and Kennedy Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving is his wife Patricia McClellan Walker whom he married March 16, 1991 in Buffalo; two children Adam (Courtney) Walker of Busti; Kimberley (Kyle) Haller of Jamestown; grandchildren: Landon, Liam and Levi Walker of Busti and Hank Haller of Jamestown; a brother Kenneth (Barb) Walker of Kennedy and a sister Caryl (Ivan) Larkin of Falconer. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Herman G. Walker on Oct. 23, 2017 and his mother Alice F. Walker on Oct. 30, 2017.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Mike Herdzik officiating.
