Richard D. Lepley

Richard D. Lepley, 88, of 4590 Ashville Road, died Monday April 15, 2024, in UPMC Chautauqua.

He was born November 18, 1935, in Franklin, PA, a son of the late John and Gertrude Cramer Lepley.

He graduated from Southwestern Central School.

Prior to his retirement he was a lifelong employee of Marlin Rockwell Corporation as a factory worker.

Rich enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, hunting, fishing, golfing at Maplehurst and South Hills Country Clubs, watching Westerns and basketball and cheering for the Buffalo Bills.

The Lepley family would like to thank Wally Huckno for being Dad’s golfing buddy all these years, for Dave Wilcox being his fishing buddy, and for Dick and Carol for being his lifelong friends and providing so many camp memories.

Surviving is his wife Margaret Miller Lepley, whom he married September 25, 1982; four children Laurie (Brian) Lepley of Jamestown and Mary (Thomas) Lepley of Augusta, WV, Susan (Kevin) Lepley-Jenkins of Jamestown and David (Penny) Lepley of Celoron; a stepdaughter Brenda Byers of Indiana, PA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson Daniel Byers and siblings Bob and Don Lepley and Betty Tarr.

A celebration of life will be held at 5 pm May 3, 2024 in Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion on Jackson Avenue.
