Clara E. Madden

She was born October 17, 1931 in Titusville, PA, a daughter of the late Harvey C. and Elizabeth Piatt Angell.

She was a 1949 graduate of Colestock High School, Titusville, PA.

Clara and her late husband, William, owned and operated C.E. Madden Printing and prior to retirement was employed at the former Manor Oak SNF.

She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Clara is survived by her five children: Bill (Agnes) Madden, Bonnie Moore, Ron (Kelly) Madden, Loretta (Gary) Lucas, Larry Madden; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister Frances (George) Vroman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years William L. Madden, who she married January 14, 1950 and who passed December 5, 1997; two daughters and their husbands, Christy L. (Russ) Sheets and Brenda (Chuck) Richard; a grandson Brandon “BZ” Zebrowski; a sister Mabel Roberts; and two sons-in-law Steve Moore and Tuck Williams

Keeping with Clara’s wishes no visitation will be observed. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorials may be made to the Busti Fire Department, the Brandon “BZ” Zebrowski Memorial Fund, or Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care.
