Kenneth C. Pound, 86, of Clymer, NY passed away Saturday March 2, 2024 at home with his loving family at his side. Ken was born October 13, 1937 in Corry, PA., the son of the late Cecil and Minnie (Bensink) Pound. He was social and outgoing by nature. Ken had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed telling a good joke to his many friends or anyone that would listen as he stopped in at restaurants and sales barns in the area. A strong and hardworking man, he was a long-time live-stock hauler and worked in agriculture. He loved blue grass music and especially enjoyed attending blue grass festivals.
Ken is survived by his 5 children: Bonnie Altman, of North East, PA, Connie Detillo, of New Alexandria, PA, Ronnie K. Pound, of Clymer, Lonnie E. (Shirlee) Pound of Findley Lake, and Yvonnie M. Pound, of Corry, PA; 6 grandchildren: Matthew Maloof, Nick Alan, Christopher Detillo, Sara Brandt and Amanda Dallas; also survived by: 6 step-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers: Lyle Pound and Lee (Marcia) Pound.
Besides his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his wife, Marian (Purdue) Pound, who died September 25, 1996; 2 sisters: Nancy Stafford and Georgia Bronson and 2 brothers: Lloyds Pound and Rick Pound;
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Spitzer Funeral Home, 8728 E. Main Street, Clymer, NY, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am.
