James L. Brightman

Jim, after a long and tough battle with cancer, took his final journey as he walked through the Gates of Heaven on March 10, 2024.

Jim lived his life as an adventure taking in all he could see as he walked NEAR and FAR, taking in the sites and making friends along the way. Jim’s adventures took him as far as the west coast, south to Florida and any place in between that appealed to him. His final adventure landed him in Warren, Pa where he has resided for the last few years.

Jim is survived by three sisters, Colleen Steward (David), Deborah Barr (Chuck) and Kathryn Carroll. Jim is also survived by nine brothers, Delbert, Fred ((Julie), LaVerne, George (Mary), Wayland, Harry, William, Earl and Budd (Jane). He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Ruth Brightman and a brother, Carl. Jim is also survived by his girlfriend, Cindy Hess and his cat, Snickers.

Jim graduated from Clymer Central School, Class of 1971.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 on June 15, 2024 Townline Cemetery, Weeks Road, Panama, NY, followed by a Memorial Picinic get together at 1:00 pm at Bergman Park, Jamestown N.Y.
