James Edward Welling

A lifelong area resident he was born September 20, 1953 in Jamestown, the son of the late E. William and Dee Seighman Welling.

James was a graduate of Maple Grove High School and Jamestown Community College. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.

He was self-employed owning and operating Welling Flooring Services.

James enjoyed spending time with family and friends and riding horses with his brother. He also enjoyed fixing anything that needed to be repaired.

Surviving is his wife Lynne Badgely Welling whom he married in 1976; three children: April Welling of Jamestown, Jake (Amber) Welling of Jamestown, Jeremiah (Jessica) Welling of Missouri; three grandchildren: Silver Welling, Keagan Welling, Liam Welling; three brothers: Rod (Deirdre) Welling of Warren, David Welling of Brooksville, FL, Bill (Sue) Welling of Yuma, TN; a sister DeeAnn (Larry) Marsh of Brookville, FL; his step-mother, Val Welling, a step-brother Bryan Kennedy of Lakewood, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

As per James wishes there will be no funeral service or visitation.
