Ronald Whitehill

Ronald C. Whitehill passed away Wednesday February 7, 2024 at Radiant Nursing and Rehabfollowing an extended illness.

Ron served as an Airman First Class in the Air Police in the USAF in Libya and France during the Korean War. Following his time in the Air Force, he spent 45+ years as a professional truck driver with over 15 of those years spent partnering with his wife. When he wasn't working, he cherished time spent with his family. Ron took pride in making himself available tomanyone in need whether it was to help work on a project or to lend a listening ear.

Ron was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Ada Whitehill, brothers, Merle, Dick, Robert, and Raymond Whitehill, a sister Anna "Rebecca" Youngberg, and grandson Tanner L. Wall.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda L. Whitehill of Interlachen, children, James Whitehill (Kim) of Bardin, Ronda Steinhilber (Bryan) of Florahome, George Whitehill (Alicia) of Interlachen, and Dawn Rolle (Reo) of Interlachen, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will received friends from 2:00-3:00 pm on Saturday February 17th at Johnson-Overturf Interlachen Chapel.

Burial will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday February 20th at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
