Dennis K. Zink

Dennis K. Zink, 78, of Randolph, NY, passed away on Jan. 30, 2024 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie.

He was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather. He was born April 25, 1945 in Billings, Montana the son of the late Royal and Fern V. (Cattnach) Zink.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Hope C. “Connie” Zink, their three children, Michael (Kim) Zink of Amherst, NY, Marshall (Sherese) Zink of Bemus Point, NY, and Lauren (Chuck) Finocchiaro of Norman, OK, and thirteen grandchildren.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1969-1972 as a Pharmacist. After his military service, Moving to Randolph in 1974, Dennis co-owned Inkley Pharmacy in Randolph from 1975-2022. Earlier on he had worked at ABC Rexall in Kearney, Nebraska, Dodge County Hospital in Freemont, NB.

He was an active member of the East Randolph United Methodist Church as a Trustee 15 years, managed the building project 2000, the Randolph Lions Club, where he received the Melvin Jones Fellow, the highest honor in Lions Club, and served as the Salvation Army Campaign manager, spearheading The Kettle Campaign during the holiday season for over 20 years. He also served on the Town of Randolph Zoning Board, Randolph Central School Board of Education, went on mission trips to Haiti with Medical Mobile Units and also in West Virginia. Dennis also dedicated his time to serving his community and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and helping his friends.

He loved God, his family, gardening and baseball (especially the Mets and later the Chicago Cubs.)

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at the East Randolph United Methodist Church. Visitors will be received at 10 am, with the service following at 11 am. A luncheon will be held after the service. The Rev. Tim Middleton will officiate.
