Carol T. Butman

Carol T. Butman, 93, of Heritage Green, formerly of Falconer and Lakewood, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in UPMC Chautauqua.

She was born on February 11, 1931 in Ludlow, PA, a daughter of the late Cecil A. and Lucille I. Anderson Turnwall.

She was a 1949 graduate of Jamestown High School.

Carol was a dedicated homemaker and was a teacher’s aide at Falconer High School and Fenner Elementary. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran in Falconer and Zion Lutheran in Frewsburg and was also a member of Butterfly Moms.

She enjoyed knitting and sewing, making many items for her family.

Carol is survived by her daughter Candice Kohler of Lakewood; a son William (Casey) Falconer of Oxnard, CA; four grandchildren: Kristin (Eric) Dunnewold of Jamestown, Shannon (Scott) Costantino of Rochester, Samuel Falconer of CA, Annika Falconer of MA; eight great-grandchildren: Jacob, Chloe, and Veronica Short, Caitlynn (Cameron) Hurta, Shane, Sullivan, Saxton, and Siahnna Costantino; a sister Peggy (Robert) Greene; a sister-in-law Linda Turnwall; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren R. Butman, who passed away on Sept. 2, 1998; a son Randall Butman; two brothers James and Jack Turnwall; a sister Bonnie Ryberg; and a son-in-law Glenn Kohler.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.

Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery reuniting with her husband Warren.
