Rodney W. Chase

Born in Kennedy, NY on September 24, 1937, Rodney was a son of the late Herbert Case and Dora Johnson Case. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Beverly Case in April of 2023, stepfather Emmons Valentine, a brother, Allen Case and a great grandson, Nathan Textor.

He attended Falconer school(s) and went on to work for Marlin Rockwell right after school, retiring 40 years later. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, where he loved to sing in the choir. In younger years he bowled and enjoyed playing Slow-pitch softball. Rodney was a big fan of drag-racing and professional wrestling even though he said he knew it wasn’t real. An avid card player, Rod would play cards anytime, anywhere with anybody. In his senior years the game of choice was Hand and foot.

Surviving are his children, Joel Case (Penny) of Iverness, IL, Daniel Case (Kim) of Liberty, KY, Kevin Case (Diane) of Oak Island, NC, Juliet Textor (Garry) of Supply, NC; a sister, Beverly Anderson of Falconer, NY; grandchildren, Brandon Juskey (Susan), Andy Case, Ashlee Austin (Wade), Erik Till, Daniel Gregg (Kayla), Carrie Yost (Chris), Dustin Textor (Katrina); great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Juskey, Jack, Peyton & Taylor Yost, Sydney Textor, Harper and Benson Gregg.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be a memorial service at a later date.
